Steve Marlin
Hi there, I’m Steve Marlin join me weekdays 11a to 3p on 800 CJBQ.
They asked me for a bio, where do I start and how much do you really want
to know. Okay, I was born, not hatched as some have suggested, at Kingston General
the oldest of 4 to Jim and Lois Marlin. After the hospital in Kingston I
moved in with Mom and Dad in Napanee. We moved to Belleville while I was
still a yougster, about 4 year old. I went to school at Avondale, Sir
John A. MacDonald and Sir MacKenzie Bowell Schools then off to high school
at Centennial Secondary. Then to college at Loyalist where I took radio
and TV. After working at the Four Seasons Hotel in Belleville, now Ramada
Inn, I took the pluge into radio and here I am, after stops in Chatham and
Kingston. I’ve been with Quinte Broadcasting since 1981, most of that
here on 800 CJBQ.
I’ll keep you up to date with what’s going on in the area with the Quinte
Calendar each weekday at 12:30p by talking to those who make “it” all
happen and from time to time I’ll chat with your favorite celebrities.
Over the years I’ve been fortunate to talk with Ann Murray, Shania Twain,
Trace Adkins, Wade Hayes, Davy Jones formerly of the Monkees, Quinte’s
own “The Wilkinson’s”, Paul Brandt, Julian Austin, Adam Gregory, Tommy
Hunter, Charlie Pride and many others.
My best friend and wife is Cheryl, we have two daughters Sara and Danielle.
Cheers,
Steve
