H1N1 Flu Clinics coming up!

Clinics will be held Oct. 28 between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the following locations.

• Belleville: Greek Community Hall, 70 Harder Dr.

• Quinte West: Trenton City Hall, 7 Creswell Dr.

• Picton: Picton Elks Lodge, 1 Elk’s St.

• Bancroft: Bancroft Professional Building, 1 Manor Ln.

• Madoc: Madoc Kiwanis Centre, 139 Lawrence St.

Health unit staff say there will be enough vaccine for all who seek it and that vaccinations for the general public will be offered once the priority round has finished.

People age 10 and over will require one dose of the H1N1 vaccine for full immunity and children under age 10 will need two half doses a minimum of 21 days apart, the health ministry said Wednesday.

Details of more clinics can be found online at www.hpechu.on.ca or by calling the unit at 613-966-5513 ext. 655.

I think Iggy is smart…So why does he open his mouth

Wednesday, October 21st, 2009

“Look, we’re not propping these guys up any longer. Let someone else do it,”  That’s what federal Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff said after an event in which he read to four-year-olds at an Ottawa daycare centre. “But we’re not in a hurry to bring these guys down. Canadians have said unanimously to all four parties, ‘We don’t want an election.’ So that’s the position.”  REMEMBER this comment folks. This guy; for someone who is supposed to be (or acts that way) smarter then all of us is running his party into the ground. It was only a few short weeks ago that with the fervor of a leader with more money and power then he actually has, announced and I quote…  Harper’s “time is up” and  then Iggy vowed to defeat the Tories at the earliest opportunity. He was not fibbing. The Liberals proposed a motion of non-confidence on their first opposition day of the fall parliamentary sitting, and as we all know now that Jack Layton’s New Democrats propped up Uncle Steve and the Blue Crew! What gets in my craw is that Mr. Ignatieff peddeled  himself so far back he will be in diapers again soon! Where are the Liberals going? What is the platform? Why don’t they have an answer to a problem or an issue they disagree with  instead of just complaining about it?  Let someone else do it Ignatieff says.. He is not going to prop the Tories up…maybe he will vote against or abstain from every bill in the house…but that in itself does not stop the Libs from looking like a pile of scaffolding, barely holding on to the side of a rundown building ; The government is being propped up; but how long before “Iggy brand” scaffolding falls in on itself?
