FIFA in 3D on a whopping 152 inch screen!
Unable to contain their excitement, Panasonic bragged that their new 3D Plasma TV’s will feature the FIFA games in enormous 3D on new screens features sizes in 85, 103 and 152 inch versions.
Unfortunately this announcement comes very prematurely, as these sizes will not be available on the market until next year and FIFA begins in July. Also these new giant-sized TV’s won’t be kind to your wallet. Panasonic is guaranteeing that these new TV’s will have a fix to the overly announced issue of burn-in.
Panasonic says that it has introduced several breakthrough technologies in these TVs, including a new motion prediction technology to eliminate ghosting between left and right 3D images, and a near-infinite contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, around twice the tone gradation of existing models. It is driven by a 30-bit Color Processing Engine which the company says provides super-accurate color reproduction and has a video processing technology to fill in between frames and allow smooth playback of images originally recorded in 24p, such as movies.
So if you want life sized 3D appearing in your livingroom, you can look to find these models sometime early in 2011.

Panasonic moves into new LCD plant
After two years Panasonic has completed its plant in Osaka, Japan. The plant was built in order to produce LCD TV’s for the company. The completion of the plant came three months ahead of the time Panasonic had planned to be ready despite the fact that recent economic downturns slowly began to crumble the company away.
Mass production of these TV’s will begin as early as April, and Panasonic hopes to join the leagues of major LCD players like Samsung and LG.
Panasonic hopes to have at least 12 million televisions produced a year from July. This will tie into their new 3-D TV’s being released on the market as well.

Put on the glasses and hold on tight, television is about to go 3-D!
We’ve all seen the dramatic rise of 3-D in the last year, production companies have been planning this for years releasing all their movies in 3-D versions in order to pull customers back to the movies again and stop the illegal downloading of films.
Now it’s time for television to follow the legacy; enter 3-D, HD television sets. That’s right if HD wasn’t enough now you’ll soon be watching all of your favourite shows in 3-D as well. Imagine ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, the drama literally melting off the screen, those steamy romance scenes playing out as if they were in your own living room. A fan of ‘Lost’? Pretty soon you’ll be lost in the exquisite textures and backgrounds that seem so lifelike. And if your forte is sports, well, this is your era.
Leading the charge in 3-D television programming the NHL Rangers-Islanders game was the first ever game to be broadcast in 3-D, and there are more to come! Hockey fans will feel like they are at the game, minus the cold chill of the arena. All you need is that perfect surround sound system to go with your new TV and you will feel like you are right in the middle of the action; literally!
While it’s true that most of this technology is new and fairly expensive, it doesn’t mean it’s not worth picking up. If you’re in the market for a new TV to replace that old rear projection or dare we say, ‘Tube Television’, think about picking up one of these new beauties. You’ll be the jealousy of your neighbour and the talk of the street!
Along with the 3-D televisions will be released 3-D Blu-Ray players which will allow all consumers to enjoy movies like ‘Avatar’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, and ‘Clash of the Titans’ in stunning 3-D right in your own homes. Don’t get left behind with 2-D technology, check out the new world of 3-D in your TV!

Samsung singing a brighter tune for Ontario!
Samsung group has entered an agreement with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty to set up operations in Ontario building wind turbines and solar panels to provide green energy to all Ontarians.
The $7 billion deal will charge all energy users in Ontario $1.60 extra on your bill per year, but for that extra little bit you are providing more than 15,000 jobs to Ontario. On top of that, you are providing and using wind and solar energy to light up more than 580,000 homes in the province.
While some might say McGuinty sweetened the deal by offering the Samsung group more money, the end definitely justifies the means. It all connects in Ontario’s new five year plan, that will offer more jobs, more money into the economy and strengthen our province as a whole.
So remember ,when you buy Samsung you’re buying a piece of Ontario’s future, and helping Ontario go green!

Gamers Rejoice! Your games can be saved once again!
Tired of that X-Box small capacity hard drive unable to save all of those games you love to play? Sick of never being able to use that so-called ‘Universal Serial Bus’ port on the front of the console? Well woe no more!
X-Box officials have recently announced they will soon release an update that will allow you to hook up an external storage device to hold those fantastical and fun games you direly need to save SO BADLY! The catch? Microsoft is only allowing you to use 16GB of the storage device towards your X-Box gaming needs. If you need more, well just go down to your old X-Box supply store and pay those fantastic high prices for X-Box made storage devices.
It’s better than nothing though, so watch out for the update, it will be released sometime early summer of this year.
