Great Song in History – Billy J. Kramer records “Bad To Me”, 1963

Elvis Song of the Day – 1968…As part of what became known as his “’68 Comeback” TV special, Elvis Presley, with Scotty Moore and D.J. Fontana, two members of his original backup band, taped an informal jam session on center stage at NBC’s Studio 4 in Burbank, California. Manager “Colonel” Tom Parker was unhappy with the direction of the show and withheld all tickets to the performance, forcing staffers to run to a nearby Bob’s Big Boy restaurant and plead with patrons to come and see an actual Elvis Presley concert.
